A revenue audit exercise completed as part of KPMG's "Experience a Day with KPMG Audit & Assurance" job simulation — building a revenue leadsheet from a trial balance using VLOOKUP and SUMIF, then substantively testing a sample of revenue transactions by vouching invoices to supporting documentation for fictional client Evergreen Inc.
Revenue grew 16.3% year over year to €42.17M, driven mainly by a 12% uplift across the core sales streams and a large jump in investment income. All five substantive test samples vouched cleanly to supporting documentation with zero differences.
